Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you upload your CV, we receive the file contents temporarily in server memory to extract the text. This text is passed directly to our AI model for processing. We do not write your CV content to any database, file system, or storage service. Once the roast or rewrite is generated, the text is discarded.

If you proceed to payment, we collect your email address via Stripe for receipt delivery. We do not store this on our servers — it goes directly to Stripe's infrastructure.

What we do not store

We do not store your CV content, your name, your employment history, or any personally identifiable information extracted from your uploaded document. We never read your CV manually. No human at cvdestroyed.com sees your file.

Payment data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see, store, or handle your card details. When you pay, you are interacting directly with Stripe's secure payment form. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data. You can read it at stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics. This helps us understand how the product is being used — which features are popular, where people drop off, and whether things are working. PostHog collects anonymous usage data (page views, click events, session length). No personally identifiable information is included in these events. You can opt out of analytics tracking via your browser's Do Not Track setting.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or third-party tracking beyond analytics.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the product:

  • AI processing provider — AI processing of your CV text. The provider may retain API request data per their own retention policy.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — Hosting and edge infrastructure. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
  • PostHog — Anonymous product analytics.

Your rights

Since we do not store your CV data, there is nothing to delete or export. If you believe we have retained any personal data and wish to have it removed, contact us at privacy@cvdestroyed.com and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
